Astable multivibrator calculator

This calculator helps you to compute value of Output frequency, Capacitor and Duty cycle in an Astable multivibrator. This calculator needs at least three inputs to compute results. All the fields except Duty cycle can be used as input.  

**RA & RB : Input, C & F : Input/Output, D : Output.






The resulting output from above calculator are approximate values. Refer to standard Resistor and Capacitor table to choose the right component for your design.

FORMULAS:

With given RA, RC and C values. Frequency and Duty cycle can be calculated using the below formula

F = 1.44 / (( RA +2RB) C)

D = ( RA + RB ) / ( RA + 2RB )

Using RA, RC and F values, Capacitance can be calculated using the below formula

C = 1.44 / (( RA + 2RB ) F )
